Make your best move!
Our mission is to provide moving care that creates raving fans.
A painting that has hung in one place for 30 years should not meet its first hard corner in a moving truck. Correira Brothers’ Moving & Storage moves fine art for collectors, galleries, museums, artists and designers across Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, with wrapping and custom crating suited to each piece.
Our crews wrap each piece, from a small intricate painting to a large sculpture, then place it in a sturdy crate. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and we have warehouses in Providence, RI and Fall River, MA.
This page covers art and collections. For antiques, pianos and other one-of-a-kind items, see our specialty items page.
Paintings, framed prints, sculpture, mirrors and decorative objects, from a single piece to a whole house. Moving a mansion or a coastal estate? Read about moving in Newport.
Exhibition changeovers, inventory moves, gallery relocations and deliveries to buyers, scheduled around your openings.
We work from your instructions. Your registrar, curator or conservator sets the handling requirements, and our crew carries them out. We do not provide conservation, appraisal or condition-report services.
Finished work, large canvases, sculpture, frames and studio equipment, for studio moves or deliveries to shows and buyers.
Delivery of art and furnishings to client homes and offices. See also our white glove delivery service.
Before packing, we go over each piece with you, note its condition and any existing damage, and ask about hanging hardware, fragile frames or special handling.
We use specialized packing materials and handling techniques. Pieces are wrapped individually, and custom wooden crates are built to fit the dimensions of the artwork so it cannot shift in transit.
Crated and wrapped works are loaded, secured in the truck and driven to the new location by our crew.
We unload, unwrap if you ask us to, and place each piece in the room you mark. For complex hanging or installation, we work with your installer.
If you are between homes, renovating or between exhibitions, we can hold art in climate-controlled storage in Providence or Fall River.

Fine art is often worth far more than standard moving coverage, so talk to us and your insurer before moving day. We offer multiple valuation options, explained in our moving insurance guide. Museums, galleries and buildings that require a certificate of insurance should tell us up front so we can provide one on request.
Every collection is different, so we quote art moves individually. The price depends on:
